My name is Maude Leigh and I am the founder and content creator at Lit Flower. This blog is my notebook. It is my space to explore modern homemaking, art and artists, stories of the vintage objects I treasure, and to share my slow-fashion sewing projects.
I am a mom of two young kids. My family and I currently live in a home in the San Bernardino Mountains, outside of LA. My husband makes music for a living and I am enrolled in a patternmaking making program and exploring a future in the fashion industry.
We are always searching for ways to bring creativity into our home, and this blog is my favorite creative endeavor. It is where I write about the things I love – the things that have mattered to me since I was a child.
I was raised by an antique dealer, roaming thrift stores and antique markets, discovering the stories behind abandoned objects. Today we know that vintage shopping, slow fashion, and conscientious consumerism are endlessly important to the health of our planet. This lifestyle can also be endlessly beautiful and meaningful. At Lit Flower, I explore these stories and revel in their beauty.
